After you've installed the Hp MediSmart TV, make sure to choose the correct country where you reside then switch to the default codec (PAL/NTSC). Plug the TV cable and perform a deep scan. Additionally go to Device manager (Start > Run > devmgmt.msc) and make sure the drivers are installed for the device. In case they aren't installed, right click the device and select Update Driver and follow the instructions and then it should work.
