Acer eLock Management is an application that locks the optical and floppy drives. If you can't open a drive, right-click My Computer/Computer icon, select Manage and open Disk Management. Right click the PQService partition and then select Change drive Letter and Paths. Assign a letter and you'll see the partition in My Computer. Open the partition, find the aimdrs.dat file and right click it. Select Open with > Notepad. Find "Password=password name", note it down and open the drive using this password. If the entire computer is locked, reboot it, press the F8 key to enter in Safe Mode and uninstall Acer eLock Management (Control Panel > Uninstall a program). If you can't open the PC in Safe Mode, you will need to contact Acer Support team.
