Receiving error #-3 from InstallShield when updating Roxio.

What is an error#-3 in the InstallShield Manager and why does that keep me from updating my Roxio Update Manger? I went to the InstallShield website and they say to get a hold of the vendor of your computer, so I called Dell. They tried to help fix it by a phone consultation, and that did not help. I don't know what to do about this problem. I don't know a lot about this software. Any information on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Since there is not information about this product and its error, I recommend a fresh installation of the main application. The Update Manager is a component found in the main installation package. Remove the ROXIO product you have installed, reboot the computer, re-install it and the access the Update Manager again. If you have the possibility, go to the installation folder and locate the Update Manager application. Right click it and select Run as Administrator. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and it should work this way.
