Since there is not information about this product and its error, I recommend a fresh installation of the main application. The Update Manager is a component found in the main installation package. Remove the ROXIO product you have installed, reboot the computer, re-install it and the access the Update Manager again. If you have the possibility, go to the installation folder and locate the Update Manager application. Right click it and select Run as Administrator. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and it should work this way.
