Right-click the Computer icon, select Manage and go to Device Manager. Double-click the Disk Drives option, select the utility and press Enter. Go to Driver tab, press the Update Driver button, select the automatically option and follow the instructions. If this doesn't solve the problem, go to Start, type regedit and open the tool. Navigate to HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Class > {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. If you see the UpperFilters entry, right-click on it and click Delete. Do the same thing if you see the LowerFilters entry and restart the computer. If the problem is still not solved, you can create a virtual CD image from another computer using Nero and mount it with Daemon Tools.
