YTD 4.5 fails to download videos.

After upgrading my YTD to the new 4.5 version, I can't even paste 2 URLs to the downloader. It failed to download a complete video file even though the file was pretty small (less than 10 MB). I have to retry once or twice before I can get a complete file.

When I past more than one URL at a time, it gets even worse. These cases did not appear while using the former version of YTD Basic. Might my laptop be the problem or what is?

Multiple URL download function is included exclusively in the PRO version of the application. The download procedure works just fine in Basic version. It downloads and converts the file based on the pre-configured settings. Try re-installing the application and consider purchasing the PRO version for maximum benefits.

I can also recommend you DownloadHelper because it works as an add-on to your browser and it has the capability of downloading and converting all detected videos.

You can try another software that can download youtube videos for you. I use Any Video Converter Free, a freeware for downloading youtube videos and you are allowed to select the format and size of the video you want to download.
