BigFish Games is just a client which downloads the games you bought or just tried using trial mode and there is no way it can lock up a PC. From what I understand, it seems there are leftover registry files: when you removed them, those keys were left as they were preventing you from installing the client again. For this to happen, you should install Wise Registry Cleaner Free and perform a scan for registry errors or leftover. Only then you could try and reinstall the client. You will see that the setup package should work as it has to work. Also please note that the client connects to the Internet to download necessary setup files and libraries. It is most likely possible that something is blocking the communication between the client and the servers. In this case you should temporary disable any security tools installer or simply disable Windows Firewall.

I installed Big Fish also....and my comuter has been in a constant case of lock down since I tried to un-install it!!! There are warnings too numerous to count about the things my Firewall has prevented from running....and I cannot access the internet to fix anything. DO NOT DOWNLOAD BIG FISH...NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!!!

I had to uninstall and reinstall my big fish game client and while reinstalling it it completely locked up my computer. I tried to reinstall twice and twice it locked it so hard I had to hard start my computer to get it back up again. Maybe it's a Win 8 thing but it's highly annoying. I don't feel comfortable downloading anything onto my computer that I don't trust thus me not going to the aforementioned Wise Registry Cleaner Free suggestion. So now I've spent 100's on games that I can no longer access. Fabulous.
