I locked a folder using Wise Folder Lock, then I changed OS to speed up the laptop. Now I can't see the folder.

If the OS has been changed, then there is no possibility to bring them back. You will need to format your drive to get rid of the directory which occupies the space. The contents of the folder will be lost forever.

Why is every answer for Wise Folder Hider always, "you cannot get your data back, it is gone forever?" This does not seem like a very reliable program if, as everyone seems to report on the Internet, one little thing goes wrong and all your data is lost forever.

Hi, Don't worry if you have hidden your IMPORTANT DATA, that you want to recover at any cost, so first of all you don't have to pay a single penny from your pocket.
Now if you have installed new OS , then still you can get your data. Follow the steps below exactly and carefully :

1.) Download WinRar (which is free to download and use)
2.) Install WinRar in Your system.
3.) After successfully installing winrar, Open Winrar and follow these sub steps :
a.) open WinRar
b.) Go to "Command" Tab
c.) Under the command tab list choose "view file"
d.) choose the drive to view files ( hidden files)
4.) Now you will see a folder name in dotted like this --> "...." . open this folder
5.) now follow this path and keep open the folders to reach to your Data Files "..../00000/..../hidefolder/hide/"

6.) Now you have reached to your data files path and select your files or folder whatever you had hidden by wise folder hider, select your files or press ctrl+a to select all files
7.) now right click on selected files and choose "Add files to archive"
8.) a window will open, you dont have to change the settings, leave it as it is, browse to the folder where you want to extract your locked data and save it by any name
Note: it will get saved in rar extension file format, later you can access your files using winrar to extract your rar files

9.) The End, Hi5 :) you have collected your locked data.
email me if you want more help shinypearl42@gmail.com with the subject "HELP".

Thank You Guys I hope You would like my trick.

Hello..:)

Don't worry no need to buy anything.
Just download "WISE DATA RECOVERY"
Install and run it.

Go to search and select the location of your file.

In directory tree you will see some folder name [[[[[[ something like this
Click on it.
There you will see folder name Hide folder click on it
and under that hide.

There you will see all your folders..:)

Now if you have locked that folder under Wise Folder hider.

Then restore the the file name confi. to any other Drive.

Then open the confi file there you will see the name and other information.

and Password2-

copy that password and go to WISE FOLDER HIDER
Select the folder and double click on it.
paste that password and voila you folder is open..:)

Thank you guys I hope this would help you

Just FYI:

the solutions before my post (Winrar and Wise Data Recovery) both don`t work.

Winrar doesn`t show any ....-Folder, nor does Wise Data Recovery show [[[[ or anything similar.

Anyway: Nice try.

use the disk analyzer tool in ccleaner or a similar program. It should display your files underneath an inaccessible folder with something like [][][][] for a name. Just open the location of your filed from the cleaner and cut and paste them back to your normal folder system. Also, **** Wise, I'm using different brands from now on.

It hides and password-protects my files on the USB drive for free at least 5 years. I don't like others opening my documents or photos when they borrow my USB.
