My computer has no sound but video is OK. When I play an audio file of any format, the computer tells me tat the Sound device is not found. What should I do?

My computer has no sound but videos are OK. When I play an audio file of any format, the computer tells me that the Sound device is not found. What should I do?

If you receive this error, please go to Start > Control Panel > Administration tools > Services. Identify Windows Audio and start the process if it's stopped and then try to play an audio file. If you still encounter issues, please use the CD provided with your computer or motherboard and re-install the audio drivers, because this can be a problem.
