I am having difficulty executing the software in Windows 7 even in XP compatibility mode. What needs to be done to execute it under Window 7?

If the application refuses to work even after you have applied the Windows XP compatibility setting, I am afraid that you will need to acquire an updated version which has Windows 7 compatibility or a patch. These can be found on the main website of the developer of the application in question.
