Latest Nvidia drivers have an auto update checker utility which can be installed when the actual driver is installed. In case you don't have it installed, you need to install the latest driver which can be obtained from the official website. During the driver installation, make sure to select Custom to have the updater installed.
Regarding the update process, you can only use the checker to check for latest drivers downloads only. The installing process still needs to be done manually.
