A big mug fell on my laptop and hit the Spacebar key and created a dent on it. Since then, It's shutting down automatically and we cannot do recovery process. Do you think it's physical or software problem?

This could also be a hardware problem. If the pressure was high at impact, components cold get broken. You should take the laptop to a diagnose center where they can properly identify the problem with the Spacebar. If you're lucky, it's possible that the Spacebar is affected in term of physical functionality which is easy to fix by replacing it.
