What is Silhouette CAMEO controller?

We are not able to get our Silhouette CAMEO to work with our computer. I noticed that we didn't download Silhouette CAMEO Controller. What is the controller and should it be downloaded before we can use the CAMEO?

The controller is needed for the communication between computer and the device. I believe you have the incomplete package because the controller is bundled with the setup package. Please obtain a new package and install it accordingly. If you're using a newer version of Windows operating system, make sure you're launching the package with Administrator rights.
