Is there a PDF to CHM converter available?

I have a large PDF document with around 5000 pages. How do I convert it to CHM format?

There aren't many applications that can perform this conversion because a PDF has a certain layout that gets broken after conversion to any document format, not only to the CHM. For that purpose you can try PDF2CHM as a solution. You can try the application first to check for results and if it works then you should keep it, but I doubt that will perform a 100 % conversion of the PDF file.
