There are two possibilities you can use to unlock the phone: one in which you use the phone's active Internet connection to request a recovery PIN and the other where a factory reset is used.
In your case, you will need to use the factory reset mode. You can do this by pressing the Volume Up/Download + Menu + Power button to enter Recovery mode. Select Wipe Data/Factory reset and then you can use your phone.
