The .MP4 video sequence shows a security problem in Yuna Software's program Messenger Plus! for Skype. I believe it is a serious issue. The video clip shows that camera starts recording when a call comes in before the call info appears and it will not be turned off again even if the call is not answered. A serious spyware issue I believe. Please fix it ASAP!

This is not spyware because if it was, the camera would open along with its video window. This is just a simple check to see if you have video capabilities. Skype does not have recording functionality of its own. The recording process is done with a 3rd party tool.

You can configure the options regarding Messenger Plus! from its configuration screen where all the automatic checks and recordings are available. Once you disabled those options, the camera will be deactivated until you actually place a video call.

Hi! Seems like you know a lot about messenger plus for skype. I use this now for almost two years. Always recorded and was happy. All of a sudden I cant record anymore. The button always stays inactive. I run the newest software on skype and messenger plus on a windows 7 64 bit. I tried everything I could. but I can't record anymore. I for sure uninstalled everything several times as well.
