Most applications have a rollback functions for their updates. Basically, it means that you can uninstall the update through the usual Add/Remove Programs. If this case does now apply here, completely uninstall the application and install a fresh working version that allows you to view PDFs. The last option would be to contact the developer and submit this issue as a bug.
