I have downloaded the package and tried to figure it out how to implement this and I have found that consulting SmartGWT_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf provides everything needed to know about Server Side operating. There's an entire chapter explaining it in a few dozen pages that you will have to read to properly get this running.
