Does this work with Windows 8 on the HP Envy DV 7 laptop?

I previously had the Vista version of HP Pavilion, now that laptop is dying. I want to move ION to the new laptop. Will it work? I had some problems with the Vista version before when I first got ION. I did not expect it to require updates at the very start of using this program.

The new laptop comes installed with Windows 8 x64. ION products are available and can be used with Windows 7 in both versions. If you encounter compatibility problems, you need to install the necessary drivers for your products in manual mode with Device Manager (Right Click My Computer > Properties > Device Manager (on the left side of the Window)). Download and extract the driver to a folder of choice then use the device manager and point the installer to that folder, although it's for Windows 7. If found, Windows will ask you if you want to proceed with installation and you only need to click OK and let it install.
