Compatibility with Snapdragon® X Elite processor and Mac M2 processor.

asked by about ITS4mobility Traffic Studio

My question will be more technical. I want to install ITS4mobility Traffic Studio on a Windows 11 PC with 16 GB RAM and a Snapdragon® X Elite processor based on ARM architecture, which I will use outside the office. Will the installation be possible even though it is not an Intel-based PC? Experts say that not all software is compatible with ARM processors on Windows. That is why I want to check the compatibility of Traffic Studio directly with you before investing in a new PC. And another question. How about installing it on a Macbook M2 16 GB RAM with Windows 11, which runs via Parallels desktop (dual boot). Will this work on an M2 processor?

Thanks for the answer!

Regarding your question about the compatibility of ITS4mobility Traffic Studio:

  1. For a Windows 11 PC with a Snapdragon® X Elite processor: Windows on ARM does support many x86 applications using emulation, but not all applications will be compatible or perform optimally. You would need to confirm with the software developer of ITS4mobility Traffic Studio if they specifically support ARM architecture or if their software is known to run on Windows ARM devices.

  2. For a MacBook with an M2 processor using Windows 11 via Parallels Desktop: Parallels Desktop can run Windows 11 for ARM, which might also use emulation to run x86 applications. Again, this depends on whether ITS4mobility Traffic Studio is compatible with ARM architecture. It is advisable to check with the software developer for any known compatibility issues or to see if they offer a version specifically for ARM architecture.

In both cases, direct confirmation from the software's support team would provide the most accurate information.
