Wisenet Device Manager: IP Address limited scan range...?

asked by about Wisenet Device Manager

I am using Device Manager version 2.6.7.0. I am connected to the network and VLAN on which the cameras are installed, but the app only detects cameras in the range 192.168.1.1-254. It does not detect cameras with addresses 192.168.2.***. Can anyone help me to adjust the range of IP addresses scanned, please? My subnet mask is set to 255.255.0.0.

To adjust the range of IP addresses scanned in Wisenet Device Manager, you may need to check the settings within the software. It is possible that the scanning range is set to a specific range by default and needs to be manually adjusted. Review the software's documentation or settings menu to find the option for configuring the IP address scan range.

Hi, I'm grateful for your reply. I did look at the documentation and user interface but can't find a place to set this. There is an option to "manually add" devices to the list and this might be an option.

It just seems strange that:
- I am connected via a 192.168.2.*** (subnet mask 255.255.0.0)
- The app scans and finds all cameras in the 192.168.1.*** range
- It does NOT find the cameras in the 192.168.2.*** range (despite the fact that I am connected to an address in this range).

Thank you for your time.

Same i, really think to that.

  • I am connected via a 192.168.2.*** (subnet mask 255.255.0.0)
  • The app scans and finds all cameras in the 192.168.1.*** range
  • It does NOT find the cameras in the 192.168.2.*** range (despite the fact that I am connected to an address in this range).

Maybe it will fine.
