How do I update Check Writer III+ for Mac?

Clicking the update available button in the menu doesn't do anything. Contact support button doesn't do anything. I am runnning 3.08. When it opens I get an error message, which I've sent. Check will open, but some text boxes don't open when I click in the area. Also, preparing to to print dialog goes on forever without printing. When I cancel printing that dialog goes on forever without cancelling. I have to force quit the entire program
