If you have updated the application, then you might need to to a downgrade because it seems that the settings are all messed up. Also, please go to Configuration menu and make sure that all notifications are checked. It may be possible that during an upgrade or from a program's deinstallation, the settings are corrupted because most of the times these settings are kept in the registry.
If the solution above does not work for you, then perform a new installation of the program.
