Without further information, it is difficult to determine the exact cause of the issue. It is recommended to check for any errors or conflicts in the eQUEST software, ensure that the zone names and characteristics are correctly entered, and try restarting the program. If the problem persists, seeking assistance from the eQUEST support team or community forums may be helpful.

I think you are referring to when you are in that schematic view mode and you want to click on the little box to change the Zone Name label from that alpha-numeric name to an actual name. If this is not the case, then the response below might not be helpful.

If the alpha-numeric zone names are really close to each other or especially if they are overlapping, equest can freeze (and crash) when trying to click and navigate. This seems to happen most often when there are areas with a clump of smaller zones together. It's a complete nuisance.

To accommodate the glitch:
- First name the zones that aren't clumped together
- Save often (even though its so many windows to close and save)
- Be deliberate with the clicking, don't be hasty when working in the crowded areas where the zone names are close or overlapping.
- Go back a page/screen/window and adjusted the zone shape by moving a couple of vertices. This changes the position of the alpha-numeric label - because it is centered in a zone - and can create space between the alpha-numeric labels so they are less clumped and not overlapping. Then return and change the name of the zone. And then readjust the zone dimensions back to what they should be.
- Also, you can just wait to get into the detailed mode and change a few problematic zone names there.
