The update to Micromax A100 is based on it's releasing schedule. You need to be connected to a 3G data or a WiFi source. Once you achieve this, please go to Menu > Settings > About Device> Software update. If there is any available update, it will be displayed and you will be prompted to update.

Make sure your phone is over 85 % regarding battery.
