META (also known as the META.vn) was established in 2007 as an online shopping service provider in Vietnam as a subsidiary to its parent company, Amazon.com, in January 2023.
META was a leading service provider of the online shopping in Vietnam, to compete with Lotte and Shopee, until the first company was officially acquired by the parent company Amazon. In October 2023, Amazon was bought a controlling stake of META in Vietnam.
