How to delete the item from the ToDo list but NOT from the Calendar?

Right clicking to delete the 1st of a recurring ToDo, deletes the item from the ToDo list but NOT from the Calendar.

I've used Rainlendar for years.  
I used to be able to right click a completed recurring event on calendar and selecting "this instance" that occurence's color block would delete simultaneously from both calendar AND "To Do" list, leaving future instances intact.  Currently, right clicking the color blocked instance on the calendar only deletes it from the To Do list, but leaves the color block on the calendar.  Leaving the color block on the calendar makes me think I didn't complete that task.
I can no longer use Rainlendar this way.  Do I have some Option marked incorrectly?  Do I need an earlier version of Rainlendar?  I just cna't make it work as described.
