Problem with MP Navigator crashing while scanning

I've just had an update for my printer on November 28 and I can no longer scan a document without the application crashing. Is there a fix for this?

Sometimes the updates mess up registry entries and files needed for the job. My advice is to completely remove MP Navigator and install a new version because from what it seems, you still have old files from previous version and this may lead to incompatibility. You can find the latest version of MP Navigator on the support page offered by Canon. Please restart the computer after you perform the un-installation and manually delete any remaining folders in Program Files that are related to Canon.
