Ripmate is crashing when Colour Files are sent to it. Why?

We are running RipMate 8.3 Revision 1 and whenever we send a 4 colour file through our Colour Channel, the Ripmate tries to spool it but then crashes, however it allows Mono Jobs through the Mono Channel.
It is on running on a Windows PC, the software has been in place for over 6 years working with a DPX plate maker.
Will uninstalling and re-installing the software fix this?
