why is Astro Gold crashing on my MacBook Pro OS 10.11.6?

I purchased a license for the program and ran it successfully on my (mid 2009) MacBook Pro for two weeks, until on day upon launch, it crashed. Since then after uninstalling app many times and re-dloading it, it continues to crash a few seconds after launching. Any ideas?
