How to get information about the game development?

I purchased the new game from my original cd for your laptop, but i can install a new game like this one (no serial number or an activate key) because i don't have to install a new game. But i sometimes the company has no longer developed an other video games like gamehouse or among others. But the companies should not be able to download the free trial version of this game. Why doesn't GameHouse or any other things to download this?
