I have a file that is a RAW MPEG format. What can I use to edit it?

I have some footage that was provided to me that has the extension .raw.mpeg.

I would like to edit this footage on my Mac. I have a PC as well that I can use. Any suggestions on a converter/editor that I can use?

If you want a solution for your video file, then I suggest using something that is available for both operating systems. Adobe Premiere Pro is available for both systems and it provides simple and advanced features to manipulate the video for your own needs.

Freeware XMediaRecode will do a nice job. The download site is German but the GUI (graphic user interface) is in English. It also lets you convert and edit video and audio.
