Downloading RAW images from SD card to my desktop.

I have an SD card and I download to my desktop computer (Windows 7) using the card slot in my tower all the time. Recently I have switched to shooting RAW images with my Canon EOS T3. I use HP Photosmart Essentials 3.5 program to put all my pictures on my computer, but this program is not detecting the RAW images. How do I get this to work?

You should switch to an application which supports this type of files. I recommend XnView as it has support for a wide selection of image formats.

Also, HP Photosmart Essentials does not have an official update that will enhance its compatibility.
