I am using mathtype 5.2 in windows xp for many years. I only encountered the following problem:
For files > 100~150 pages with equations > 200~300 the following problem ocurs:
- The disk is full.... Free some space on this drive or save the document on another disk. Try one or more of the following:
* Close anny unneeded documents, programs, and windows.
* Save the document on another disk.
However, I found that the only solution is to start another document.
My Questions:
Does a more recent version exist for avoiding this problem?
If yes: Can it work in Windows XP?
Can Mathtype also be used in Linux?

Yes, there are more recent versions of MathType available that can handle files with many equations and pages. The newer version would likely solve the disk space issue. However, it is uncertain if the newer version is compatible with Windows XP, as it is an older operating system. MathType is primarily designed for Windows, but there is no official version available for Linux. However, there may be alternative solutions or workarounds for using MathType in Linux.
