I have a Dell 5050 laptop with a Broadcom 802.11n network adapter. My Internet provider says the problem I am having with poor download/upload speeds is the fault of the network adapter. This machine is just 4 months old. What can I do?

You need to remove the driver for the network adapter and then you need to perform a new installation. Usually these problems could have a different cause like firewalls or improper configuration for the security applications installed in your laptop. In either cases, first perform the un-installation and then a fresh installation of the driver. Also, please check the cable to be configured correctly as this is another problem with speed limits.
