To troubleshoot the memory issue when running Authorware 6.5 on Windows, you can try the following steps:
1. Close unnecessary applications running in the background to free up memory.
2. Increase the virtual memory allocation for your computer.
3. Ensure that you have enough free disk space available.
4. Update Authorware to the latest version or apply any available patches or updates.
5. Make sure your MP3 file is not corrupted or in an unsupported format.
6. Try importing a smaller MP3 file or convert the file to a different format before importing.
7. Restart your computer and try importing the MP3 file again.

If the issue persists, it might be worth contacting Macromedia customer support or seeking help from the Authorware user community for further assistance.
