I am afraid that since the product has been discontinued, the support for your printer will also cease once with the passing of time. The newer version of the MFL Pro Suite will not be compatible anymore with your product. However, it is well known that applications for Windows 7 will work in Windows 8 in most of the cases and since the application is already released for Windows 8, then you could give it a try and see if it's compatible.
