Can Brother MFC 7420 be forced to operate OCR in Win 10?

I have an old MFC7420 Brother printer/scanner. With win XP, I had a disc with Paperport OCR. When Win 7 came along, I had to uninstall the old drivers and download a software from Brother to get them to work. But OCR did not work. Win 10, same thing. Brother calims mFC 7420 cannot support OCR in win 10.DOes Nuance have any download that can do OCR in my printer on win 10?
