Multimedia Fusion 2 error while trying to open a file

I'm trying to open a file and getting an error "Unknown format." message. When I try to click OK and get an error message says "Failed to open document." message appears while trying to open a game file. I would like to know if there is the file is not supported before using the Multimedia Fusion 2?

This product has been replaced by Fusion 2.5, if you steel need help with Multimedia Fusion 2 then make sure to contact ClickTeam, the original developer of the software.
