how to install a .rar fie

The downloaded file for NVMS 1000 comes as a .rar file. I do not know what software is needed to install it

Your program file is archived in .rar format, so you will need a simple archive manager like WinRAR or 7-Zip to unpack it. Then you can run *exe file of NVMS 1000.

Agree With you, this is the only easy way to open .rar file for a general people.

How to open RAR files

Save the .rar file to the desktop. If your compressed file was downloaded from a website, it may be saved in the Downloads folder in your Documents or user directory. Launch WinZip from your start menu or Desktop shortcut. Open the compressed file by clicking File > Open. If your system has the compressed file extension associated with WinZip program, just double-click on the file. Select all the files and folders inside the compressed file. Or multi-select only the files or folders you want to open by holding the CTRL key and left-clicking on them. Click 1-click Unzip and choose Unzip to PC or Cloud in the WinZip toolbar under the Unzip/Share tab. Choose the destination folder to place the extracting files and click "Unzip" button. Find your extracted files in the destination folder.

I always used WINRAR very easy. If big file you can used ISO

To install Winrar software, your computer must be running Windows, Mac OSx, and Linux. Step 1: First you have to download the Winrar installer to your computer. For better support, download the latest version of WinRAR: download Winrar

Step 2: Run the WinRAR installation file by left clicking on the installation file. An installation window will appear. To install click on the "Install". enter image description here Step 3: After clicking Install, the system will automatically install to your computer in seconds. Then, a new window will appear and ask you to customize the parameters of the software.

  • At Associate Winrar with: Here you select the format that Winrar support (Normally you can default to this option or if you want Winrar to support all the formats in the settings then you select Select all)

At Interface: Here are three options, which allow you to create a Winrar boot file

  • Add Winrar to Desktop: Create a boot file on the computer screen.
  • Add Winrar to Start Menu: Create Startup File on the Start Menu
  • Create Winrar program group: Create program groups open in Winrar
  • At Shell Integration: Here you have the option to combine Winrar. (You can leave the default options) After completing the configuration, select "Ok".

Step 4: After completing the configuration, configuration and "Ok", a new number will be displayed to confirm WinRAR installation process has completed. enter image description here

you can not install a .rar file. But you can extract it.

Try using winrar application to extract your .rar files, its free.

Just install Winrar or winzip. Then you can push right mouse button to file and use menu "Extract here" to extract in same folder or "Extract to..." and select needed destionation folder. This is fastest and easy way.
