Some license codes expire after a period of time or if it's using online activation, the software can't reach the server to properly activate it.
Typically, in such cases, the only way to diagnose the issues is with the help of the developers or sellers, but I believe that's not possible anymore.
I've searched the web, but I didn't find anything about this software which could mean that it has been discontinued.
