Adding patterns and textures.

Is there a way to add texture or patterns to a polygon like you can do to a text box in Word?

I've studied the way Nuance Power PDF Advanced works by downloading help guides, brochures and watching tutorials, but couldn't find anything related to texture support which means that it doesn't support this feature of adding patterns and textures to a polygon. I am pretty sure that you will need another application to manipulate 3D objects and their textures.

You could try AutoCAD, because it allows 3D modeling while adding textures and it supports exporting to 3D PDF.

I had a quick look, but I don't think it's possible. The only thing you can do is draw polygons with different coloured outlines.

There is another functionality called highlight area that can highlight in different colours, but then they are rectangular in shape.
