Is MapX 5.0 compatible with Windows 10?

No, MapX is not compatible with the Windows 10 operating system. I've checked the user guide file and it clearly states the following requirements for this application:

MapX requires a 32-bit version of Windows 98 (2nd Edition), 2000 (Service Pack 2), Windows NT 4.0(Service Pack 6A, or Windows XP.

As you can see it doesn't have support for Windows 10, even if you try to run it in the Compatibility mode. It won't work this way.

You will have to install Windows XP using a virtual machine in Windows 10 with the help of VirtualBox. Also, follow this guide to learn how to create a virtual machine.

I confirm, the MapX v5 setup is not compatible with Windows 10, but the MapX software is compatible with Windows 10 by following this procedure:
Do not launch the SETUP.EXE at the root but launch the SETUP.EXE located under the "Install" folder.
At the end of the installation, an information window appears which explains the command parameters of the msi setup, nothing bad :)
To install the cards, repeat the operation with SETUP.EXE under the "Install\Data" folder.
Result: MapX is well installed and functional on Windows 10 :)
