Recently I bought a Katana 50; discovered BTS requires Windows 7 as a minimum. Is it possible to run the BTS software in XP at all? If not, any viable alternatives?

The only way to try to run it on Windows XP is with the help of built-in Windows Compatibility settings. This means you will have to right click the installer and choose Properties > Compatibility. Choose Windows XP from the drop down menu and then tick the Run as Administrator.
