Picasa disappeared from my computer.

This has suddenly disappeared from my computer. What can I do to restore it and my files?

I know that Picasa is a discontinued application, but that doesn't justify why it has been removed from your computer. In such cases, only the application is removed, not the database with the pictures or any other modifications.

You can redownload Picasa from the following page. Once it's installed and the old database files are in the same place, the content will be restored into the application.

I had no prior notice from Google that my Picasa Shortcut was going to be removed from my Desktop. How can they just remove your photos without prior notice?
