No, this application won't bring back your Excel files. This is used to scan the PC's registry files to locate the registration numbers/serials that have been used to register shareware applications installed in your PC.
Another application needs to be used in order to recover Excel or any other files. You should try Recuva as it can scan and recover your files even if they have been deleted. There is only one condition: to avoid writing (copying other files) after the files has been deleted.
Start Recuva, then use the Deep Scan feature to try to locate the files with more accuracy. Right click the file you find and choose Recover to another partition.
