I'm not sure that there is a version of Scan Assistant compatible with MacOS Sierra. As far as I know, the printer assistant had some really serious issues running on El Capitan and Samsung hasn't even solved that yet.
However, first try installing the appropriate drivers from your device, then installing Scan Assistant and see if it runs and whether it crashes after using it for a bit or not. In case it's not working accordingly, you should contact Samsung's support: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/ , but don't get your hopes up too high. From what I've seen on the forums I was looking at, the help desk is pretty lackadaisical.
