Can this break a Windows log on password?

Dad passed away over a year ago and left his computer's password protected. He has all of our family photos and other memories stored on the computers and we currently don't have any access to them. Can this program break the password to Windows and would it be something I could easily do myself (basics of computer literacy)?

Thank you in advance.

No, Password Breaker is not compatible for password breaking because it uses a brute force way of getting the password. This could take years to complete. Secondly, there is another application called OPHCrack which can be installed on a USB drive to boot it and then attempt a recovery of the password in question from Linux using SAM files found in Windows where the passwords are stored.

Here is the link that you want to access to obtain the necessary ISO or installation file: http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/

Note: A USB flash drive with at least 4 GB of free space is required for this operation.
