I am tasked with inventorying our library and archives, which is approximately 2526 ft of data. I would like to know if there is a hand scanning tool that could be set to pick up the key document elements (Title, Author, Date, Publisher, etc.). I work in MS Access, so if the tool could upload the data into the Access table fields that would be such a time saver. Does anyone know if such a tool exists? I have a matter of months, not years to complete this project.

From what I've seen, the Library Store website has various hand scanning tools that might help to create an inventory of the books. I recommend you visit their website to learn about the available products.

Also, the available hand scanner can work with the Microsoft Access as long as you know how to develop a database to recognize the data you're scanning.
