Unfortunately, it's just a trial. You will be able to use SnagIt for free for 15 days, but after that, you're going to need to purchase the application to continue using it. On the plus side, the trial gives you access to the program's full functionality without any kind of restrictions.
In case you decide to purchase SnagIt, you'll have to pay $50, but it's a one-time deal, not a subscription-based system.
