Unwanted character displayed when 2D matrix is scanned.

I have barcodes created with CodeSoft. When the Data Matrix 2D barcode is scanned, an unwanted character appears. The software does not seem to properly interpret the GS1 code. The following is an example of the type of output that is displayed. 010084068211656521hfaw60236]11170214. The unwanted character is "]".

This type of application requires a physical device to be tested against errors and usually to see its functionality. Since I lack that device, the only thing that I can recommend is its reinstallation along with device checking.

Also, since the company is still in the business and makes these products, check the forums and ask the question there as well because someone from the developers will try to help you with this issue.

The Motorola 123Scan2 might work just fine, but requires additional configuration to prevent issues like these.
